An Altercation in Space C1P5

Wow, it only took Fris a single page to move this comic from a “T” to an “M” rating. Good job!

To be fair, though, it seems like Fris isn’t having the best of days to begin with. Gaping wounds, hostile environment and comms-isolation aside, now there’s also a threat to his friends who are seemingly still trapped in the smoldering remains of whatever this facility is supposed to be. Oh well, at least it can’t really get any worse from here on out…

Website-Exclusive Author’s Note:

Ah, two days past schedule. So close and yet so far…

Well, given the fact that I only managed to upload the last page at 1 AM last Sunday, I could realistically have this page count as a one-week production. Either way, it’s a huge improvement time-wise over anything that came before it. Even more so since this page actually includes a pretty sizeable forced-perspective panel that cost me way too much time to sort out.

The perspective on that first panel is still pretty fucked, but I don’t think anyone’s going to care too much. Even if they do, most of ‘em would probably still agree that having one page with a slightly wonky panel beats me taking another week redrawing that thing three times just to achieve a slightly better look. Quantity beats quality, and believability beats realism. That’s my art advice for this week.

Have a good one!
